Technical examinations
In the Technical Examinations and Vehicle Type Approval Department, one can have their vehicle technically examined and obtain an assessment of the technical state upon the importation of a vehicle into Slovenia, as well as have converted vehicles examined to obtain an expert opinion on the conversion and its entry on a conformity certificate for all vehicle categories. At the same place, it is also possible to receive all types of services in relation to vehicle registration (payment of the annual tax for using the vehicle in road traffic, extension of registration, change of ownership, issue of different types of registration plates, deregistration of a vehicle etc.), including underwriting of both compulsory and hull motor vehicle insurance on behalf of most insurance companies operating in Slovenia.
